Position Description

  • Execute fundraising activities with various stakeholders

  • Establish and manage relationships with key collaborators and partners

  • Develop and implement a strategy optimize partnership engagement and collaborations with the private, public and non-profit sectors.

  • Contribute to specific projects, campaigns and events across UPG’s activities

  • Engage with and stay connected to various teams at UPG to stay ahead of developments in the Community and across UPG’s activities and to connect the dots.

  • Prepare supporting documents and presentations on UPG and its activities

  • Conduct ongoing research on collaboration and funding opportunities.

  • Impact optimization: make and implement proposals to optimize the impact to beneficiaries of specific projects

  • Write brief summaries as well as longer reports on the use of funding received

  • Stay up to date with local and global developments and news.

Qualified candidates are welcome with a variety of skills. No single candidate is expected to possess all qualifications as the selected candidate brings their unique set of skills to our work and complements a team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, communications, or related field

  • Master’s degree holder or candidate for a Master’s degree is an advantage

  • At least 3 years of professional experience within business development, partnership development, grants management, sales and/or marketing, or project management is an advantage.

  • Fluency in English, any additional language is an advantage

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Ability to work with remote and cross-functional teams

  • A network of relevant organization’s who may care about one or more of UPG’s activities is an asset

  • Strong listening skills.

  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently.

  • Previous experience in working with communities and/or the non-profit sector is an asset

Location: The role is remote.

Dates: The initial duration is between 3 months and 1 year for this role. An extension is possible based on performance.
Employment rate: Part-Time or Full-Time

Remuneration: This is a volunteer position.
