Manager, Programme Design and Development (Volunteer)
Position Overview
United People Global (UPG) is recruiting a dynamic and experienced Manager, Programme Design and Development to join our vibrant team. This pivotal role is central to the success of our mission to make the world a better place by managing the design and execution of interactions, programming, and agendas at UPG events. The successful candidate will work remotely, contributing to a diverse and inclusive international community. Responsibilities:
- Formulate, design, and oversee the flow of interactions within our programmes.
- Develop comprehensive program agendas and materials, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
- Organize and manage various events including workshops, roundtable discussions, and virtual meetings.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Contribute to the formulation of strategies and tactics aimed at achieving performance objectives related to our programmes.
- Implement best practices in programme management and event planning to continuously improve our offerings.
- Conduct research on key topics, themes, and subject areas relevant to our mission.
- Source and vet potential guest speakers and participants for events.
- Develop and maintain routine correspondence with stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with partners and contributors to enhance programme quality.
- Provide guidance and support to other teams to ensure optimal design and execution of interactions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members in programme management best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write well in English and articulate ideas clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to convert abstract concepts into specific ideas.
- Prior experience with programme management techniques and methods is advantageous.
- Experience in designing interactions and programmes will be an advantage.
- Background in Events and Hospitality may be beneficial.
- Experience with event planning and management is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- A master’s degree and additional education is an advantage.

Employment Rate: Part-Time
